<p><span>Johan Santana</span> threw 103 pitches in his start Tuesday against the <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="https://www.crawfishboxes.com/">Astros</a>. And of those 103, only a few factored in his decision.</p>
<p>But two especially spoiled Santana's outing, and they both came off the bat of right fielder <span>Hunter Pence</span>. Pence homered off Santana twice and those blasts were the difference in a 4-3 loss.</p>
<p>"I knew that in this ballpark you have to throw the right pitch," Santana said. "If you put the ball in play, it has a very good chance to be a homer and that was the case."</p>
