The New York Yankees 2013 regular season schedule was released on Wednesday and the Yankees will open the season with a big rivalry as they host the Boston Red Sox on April 1. The two clubs will open with a three-game series, the first time the two have opened the season against one another in New York since 2005.
Interleague play begins for the Yankees when they host the Arizona Diamondbacks April 16-18. The Subway Series will be played in May, with the Yankees playing at Citi Field on May 27-28 and hosting the New York Mets on May 29-30. In addition to the Mets, the Yankees will play the other two teams that used to call New York home. The Dodgers will come to town June 18-19 for their first ever regular season games at Yankee Stadium and the Yanks will travel out to L.A. July 30-31. New York will also host the Giants in a three-game series from Sept. 20-22. The Yankees will face the Colorado Rockies and San Diego Padres in Interleague play as well.
New York will end their season in Houston against the Astros from Sept. 27-29.
