Colorado Rockies relief pitcher Rafael Betancourt is garnering interest from several teams, including the Yankees, as the Denver Post reported on Saturday. The Red Sox, Athletics, and Orioles have also shown interest in Betancourt recently, while the Chicago White Sox and Angels are also looking to shore up their bullpen as the push for the postseason continues.
Betancourt is under contract for next season, with a mutual option for 2014. In order for a trade to go through, the Rockies would require a valuable piece in return, according to the Post report. Betancourt is 1-3 with a 3.00 ERA, while recording 17 saves in 36 innings.
