Yankees Vs. Mariners Final Score: New York Uses 8th Inning Comeback In 5-2 Win

The New York Yankees defeated the Seattle Mariners, 5-2, on Wednesday at Safeco Field. The Yankees won two out of the three games in the three-game set.

He struck out two batters and allowed zero hits in 1 1/3 innings of work. Lucas Luetge took the loss for the Mariners for giving up two hits and two earned runs in the eighth. Rafael Soriano got his 26th save of the season for the Yankees for a scoreless ninth inning. He struck out one batter and allowed one hit.

The Yankees' newest player, former Mariner Ichiro Suzuki, was 1-5 at the plate in Wednesday's game and finished the series against his old club 3-12 with a double and a stolen base. The Yankees finished their West Coast road trip with a record of 2-5.

The Yankees (59-39) start their next series against the Boston Red Sox (49-49) on July 27 at Yankee Stadium.
