The New York Yankees defeated the Seattle Mariners, 5-2, on Wednesday at Safeco Field. The Yankees won two out of the three games in the three-game set.

Rafael Soriano got his 26th save of the season for the Yankees for a scoreless ninth inning. He struck out one batter and allowed one hit.
