The New York Yankees will look to avoid a four-game sweep against their host, the Oakland A's, on Sunday, when Yanks' ace CC Sabathia opposes former NYY member Bartolo Colon at 4:05 p.m. ET on the YES Network. Sabathia (10-3, 3.27 ERA) will try and help the Yankees (57-37) break its current slump as he returns from the disable list because of a groin strain. Manager Joe Girardi said the ace will be on a pitch count.
Meanwhile, Colon (6-8, 3.88 ERA) may not be having the same success he had with the Yankees last season, but it seems the A's pitching has had New York's number in this series. On Saturday, New York was held to just one run in a slim 2-1 loss, the team's third-straight one-run loss.
