The New York Yankees look to avoid a third straight loss to the Chicago White Sox when the two teams resume their four-game series on Saturday afternoon at Yankee Stadium. (Game Time: 1:05 p.m., TV schedule: YES)
New York dropped the second leg of the series on Friday night, 14-7, thanks to a White Sox offensive barrage that included 19 hits and four home runs. That followed a 4-3 defeat on Thursday in which the Yankees lost a two-run lead in the ninth inning.
Hiroki Kuroda will look to continue his great pitching for New York. The right-hander is 4-1 with a 1.93 ERA over his last six outings.
The White Sox will counter with Jake Peavy.
