According to the official Twitter of the New York Yankees, the team has traded Steve Pearce to the Baltimore Orioles, for cash considerations.

At 29 years old, Pearce is far from a prospect, but he's been ripping the cover off the baseball in Triple A for the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees. On the season, he's hitting .321, with 11 home runs and 30 runs batted in. At .996, his OPS is near 1.000 mark.
Pearce made his major league debut with the Pirates back in '07, and has bounced back and forth between the minors since then.
