Yankees At Athletics Final Score: New York Defeats Oakland, 2-0, Sweeps Series

The New York Yankees defeated the Oakland Athletics, 2-0, on Sunday at O.co Coliseum in Oakland. The Yankees swept the series, 3-0.

Hiroki Kuroda went eight innings in the win for the Yankees. Kuroda got his fourth win of the season by giving up one walk, four hits and zero runs while striking out three batters. Tommy Milone took the loss for Oakland after going 6 2/3 innings. Milone earned both runs, walked two and struck out three batters.

Andruw Jones hit a solo shot off of Milone in the second inning. Mark Teixeira added the other New York run with an RBI double in the seventh inning. Rafael Soriano threw a scoreless ninth inning to pick up his fifth save of the season. Soriano gave up one hit and struck out two batters.
