Yankees Vs. Reds Final Score: Yanks Lose, 6-5

The New York Yankees dropped game two of their series with the Cincinnati Reds on Saturday, by a final score of 6-3.

Ivan Nova started the game for the Yankees. He pitched six innings, allowed seven sits, two walks and five runs, while striking out 12. Homer Baily opposed Nova, going 6.1 innings, striking out seven and giving up three runs in a winning effort.

The Yankees put together an impressive comeback attempt in the ninth, but fell just short. RBI singles Jayson Nix and Nick Swisher knocked the Reds closer out of the game, before Curtis Granderson softly grounded out with the winning run on second base.

The rubber match of the interleague series is scheduled for Sunday, at 1:05 EST.
