Yankees Vs. Blue Jays Final Score: Hiroki Kuroda Can't Keep The Ball In The Park As New York Loses, 8-1

The New York Yankees dropped the first game of a two-game set with the Toronto Blue Jays on Wednesday night north of the border. Starter Hiroki Kuroda gave up seven earned runs in a lopsided 8-1 loss.

Kuroda allowed three home runs, including a two-run shot to J.P. Arencibia in the second inning and a three-run homer to Edwin Encarnacion in the third. Jose Bautista took him deep for a solo shot in the fifth inning. Kuroda's ERA ballooned from 3.56 to 4.50.

New York's hitters had no answers for Blue Jays righty Kyle Drabek, who gave up just one run on three hits. Mark Teixeira accounted for the Yankees' only run on a sixth-inning single for his 20th RBI of the season.

The Yankees try again on Thursday night against the Blue Jays. They have now lost three of their last four games.
