Yankees Vs. Orioles Final Score: New York Loses 5-2 In Baltimore Tuesday Night

The New York Yankees lost 5-2 to the Baltimore Orioles on Tuesday night in Game 2 of their brief two-game series. CC Sabathia was tagged with the loss after giving up eight hits and four earned runs in six innings. The Yankees' only runs on the night came off a Curtis Granderson homer that also scored Robinson Cano in the seventh inning. Granderson now has 13 homers on the season.

Adam Jones put the Orioles on the board with a solo home run to lead off the second inning. J.J. Hardy batted in two more runs with a double in the fifth to score Xavier Avery, and an infield single in the sixth to score Bill Hall. Jones capped the Orioles' scoring when he came around home on a Chris Stewart passed ball in the seventh.

Wei-Yin Chen earned the win to improve to 4-0 on the season. He struck out four, and allowed four hits and two earned runs through seven innings. Freddy Garcia took over for Sabathia to pitch two innings. He struck out three and allowed one hit with no earned runs.
