Clay Rapada Injury: Yankees Reliever Leaves Monday's Game With Viral Infection

After Ivan Nova left the mound with a right ankle contusion and sprain, his reliever Clay Rapada was also forced back to the clubhouse during Monday night's game between the New York Yankees and the Baltimore Orioles with what has been tabbed as a viral infection.

Not much is know on Rapada's condition at this point. He was spotted on television needing assistance back into the clubhouse from the mound. Rapada pitch just one-third of an inning, forcing Chris Davis to line out before leaving the mound after walking Nick Johnson. Rapada has seven strikeouts and a 3.60 ERA through 10 innings pitched in relief this season.
