Orioles vs. Yankees score: Game 1 still tied, 2-2, after 7 innings

Despite the early fireworks the Baltimore Orioles and New York Yankees are still tied, 2-2, in Game 1 of the American League Division Series at Camden Yards. The game has reached the conclusion of seven innings.

Both teams have squandered scoring opportunities since scoring two runs through four innings of play -- the Yankees tallied runs in the first and fourth innings while the Orioles scored a pair of runs in the bottom of the third. New York is 1-for-5 with runners in scoring position and have left seven men on base. Baltimore is 2-for-5 with five runners left on base.

The Yankees latest scoring opportunity came in the top of the seventh when runners were on third and second base with one out. However, Ichiro Suzuki grounded into a fielder's choice -- a hard grounder to the second baseman Robert Andino who threw home to catcher Matt Wieters, who scooped the low throw and tagged out base runner Russell Martin; and Alex Rodriguez struck out.

In both the fifth and sixth innings, Baltimore got two base runners on with one out but was unable to plate a run.
