The Yankees announced their 25-man ALDS roster Sunday.

The New York Yankees released their American League Division Series roster Sunday, and as expected, outfielder Andruw Jones and third baseman Casey McGehee have been left off the 25-man list. Outfielder Brett Gardner, utility player Jayson Nix and relief pitcher Derek Lowe were the trio of bubble players who made the roster and will be suited up Sunday night when the Yankees face the Baltimore Orioles in Game 1 of the ALDS (6 p.m. ET on TBS).

Both Gardner and Nix will provide flexibility to the Yankees' lineup, as both can play multiple positions and serve as solid pinch hitters and runners. Both seem to be healthy after battling injuries earlier in the season.

On Tuesday, Lowe tossed two scoreless innings in a 4-3 victory over the Boston Red Sox. The victory helped the Yankees earn a one-game lead over the Orioles in the AL East Division standings and eventually helped them avoid a one-game Wild Card playoff with the Texas Rangers. Lowe has 27 postseason appearances including 12 starts.
