The New York Yankees know what days they will play in the American League Division Series. They know the times of the first two games. What they don't know yet is who they will play.
That will be decided Friday night when the Texas Rangers and Baltimore Orioles meet in a one-game wild-card playoff at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington, Texas. To Yankees' first baseman Mark Teixeira, the opponent makes no difference.
"The fact of the matter is, if we play our game, if we play as well as we're capable of, it doesn't matter who we play - 'cause we'll win," he told WFAN's Boomer Esiason and Craig Carton on Friday morning.
Teixeira's confidence aside, which team do you want to see the Yankees face?
The Yankees went 9-9 against the Orioles, beating them by one game for the American League East title. They went 4-3 against the Rangers, who lost the American League to the Oakland Athletics on the final day of the season.
