Orioles vs. Yankees ALDS Game 5 score update: No score after three innings

The New York Yankees and Baltimore Orioles are locked in a scoreless tie after three innings in Game 5 of the ALDS. The low scoring trend at Yankee Stadium continues as both starters have kept the lineups at bay.

CC Sabathia of the Yankees has breezed through the Orioles lineup, tossing three perfect innings while striking out four. Sabathia is likely to go deep into the game, as he has been economical. The left-hander has thrown just 37 pitches, and looks to be in control.

The Orioles have Jason Hammel on the mound. Hammel has had little trouble the first time through New York's lineup. Just like Sabathia, he has been perfect. Hammel has struck out two and thrown 37 pitches.

The big news before the game was Yankees manager Joe Girardi benching third baseman Alex Rodriguez in favor of Eric Chavez. Rodriguez has struggled at the plate throughout the series, and Girardi sent a pinch-hitter in his place in the late innings of Games 3 and 4.
