Ivan Nova And Yankees Try To Keep Home Streak Alive Against Blue Jays

New York Yankees compiled an impressive 10-6 home record in the month of April, and used that to move atop of the AL East standings. On Sunday afternoon, the Bronx Bombers (15-9) will try to keep that trend in tacked against the visiting Toronto Blue Jay, who will attempt to be the first team to win a series at Yankees Stadium this season.

Rookie starting pitcher Ivan Nova (1-2) will start his fifth game for the Yankees, who beat Toronto 5-3 Saturday to split the three-game series at one game apiece. Nova pitched a solid 6 1/3 innings on Tuesday, but was created with a no decision after setup man, Rafael Soriano, blew up in the eighth inning.

Opposing Nova will be Jesse Litsch (2-1, 3.86 ERA) who has compiled two quality starts in four games this season. The Blue Jays are just 7-9 on the road this season.

On Monday, the Yankees begin a four-game series at the Detroit Tigers. Veteran righty Bartolo Colon (2-1) will make his third start of the year for New York.
