Poem: A Thin Line Between Love And Hate

Shock of the winter: Lee spurns the Yanks

To seven years, pinstripes, he said "Thanks, but no thanks"

Yanks made Lee an offer unbeatably weighty

But fans didn't treat Mrs. Lee like a lady

Instead Phils fans get a reward from above

As Lee heads back to city of Brotherly Love

That fan base will love that he scorned the Big Apple

For town that eschews gourmet cooking for scrapple

Still, Lee better hope that his arm means more clinching

In Philly, a thin line between love and lynching

If treatment of Mrs. Lee really did matter

In Philly, they're just as mean-and good deal fatter
