New York Red Bulls-Columbus Crew Final Score: New York Dominates, Wins 3-1

The New York Red Bulls beat the Columbus Crew 3-1 on Saturday night at Red Bull Arena.

New York scored early and often. After falling behind in the fourth minute on a goal by Columbus forward Milovan Mirosevic, Thierry Henry knotted things up with a marker just nine minutes into the match. It would prove to be the first of two Henry goals on the evening, with the other coming in the 90th minute of play.

The Red Bulls controlled the match for most of the event, owning 59 percent of the possession time. Both teams had 19 shots, with New York putting eight on frame compared to four by the Crew.

In a heated contest, both sides earned one yellow card, although neither accrued a red. The Crew's Julius James was handed his yellow in the 50th minute, while Tim Cahill was nabbed six minutes later.

With the win, New York earned its 49th point of the year.
