The New York Red Bulls will be without Thierry Henry and Rafa Marquez as they take on Sporting Kansas City this Sunday. Henry recently fathered a baby boy and is spending time attending to that matter. He is expected to return to the lineup for the Red Bulls' next game against D.C. United.
This will be the eighth match that Henry has missed this season. He has 11 goals and seven assists in 19 games.
Marquez is still battling an injury to his left calf and will be back with the team on Friday, after spending some time in Mexico with the Red Bulls trainer. Marquez is not expected to return to the pitch until September 15th.
Sporting Kansas City is leading the Eastern Conference and is just two points ahead of New York. This match is important for playoff positioning and it's tough for the Red Bulls to be without their most talented goal-scorer.
