U.S. Open Cup Round 4, New York Red Bulls Vs. Harrisburg City Islanders Final Score: New York Eliminated, 3-1, In Extra Time Tuesday Night

The New York Red Bulls were eliminated in Round 4 of the 2012 U.S. Open Cup, 3-1, by the Harrisburg City Islanders on Tuesday night. New York had plenty of chances to score a go-ahead goal before the match went into extra time. Unfortunately, they couldn't capitalize as the City Islanders, who play in the USL Pro League, scored twice after regulation to advance.

Harrisburg struck first with a goal by Sainey Touray past Ryan Meara in the 13th minute. The Red Bulls didn't respond until the 60th minute when rookie Connor Lade scored his second goal of the competition. Dax McCarty had a chance to put the Red Bulls up 2-1 in the 70th minute, but a rocket shot bounced off the post and out of bounds.

Touray scored his second goal of the match early in extra time to put the City Islanders up 2-1 after the 94th minute. McCarty took another good shot on goal in the 113th minute, but the ball was just deflected away by Harrisburg goalkeeper Nick Noble.

The City Islanders scored again in the 118th minute to secure the win and advance to the quarterfinals of the tournament.
