The New York Red Bulls will take on the USL Pro side Harrisburg City Islanders on Tuesday at the Skyline Sports Complex in Harrisburg, PA in a Fourth Round U.S. Open Cup match.
The Red Bulls advanced to the the Fourth Round by defeating the Charleston Battery, 3-0. The Islanders got to this round by beating the New England Revolution, 4-3, on penalty kicks. The match had been scoreless after regulation. The winner of tonight's match will advance to the quarterfinals (but play on the road) of the U.S. Open Cup to meet the winner of the D.C. United-Philadelphia Union match.
Red Bulls striker Thierry Henry is questionable for the match as he is still recovering from an injured hamstring. He also missed the Round 3 match. Kenny Cooper who scored one of the goals against the Battery and is tied for the MLS goal scoring lead, will be on the pitch for the Red Bulls.
