New York Red Bulls At Los Angeles Galaxy: Game Time, TV Schedule, Preview

The New York Red Bulls will be in Los Angeles on Saturday to play the Galaxy at the Home Depot Center. The Red Bulls are currently in third place in the Eastern Conference with 13 points. Their opponent, which put them out of the 2011 MLS Playoffs during their MLS Cup winning run, is currently seventh in the Western Conference with 10 points. This will be the only regular season meeting between the clubs. The Red Bulls lead the series 16-15-6 all-time in regular season matches against the Galaxy.

New York will not have MLS' second-leading scorer Thierry Henry who is nursing a hamstring strain. Here are the other Red Bulls are out for Saturday's match:

Teemu Tainio (R Knee Sprain); Wilman Conde (Groin Strain); Roy Miller; (L Knee Effusion); Stephen Keel (Back Strain)

In addition, defender Rafael Marquez will be out as he serves the final game of a disciplinary suspension.

The Galaxy did not have David Beckham, Robbie Keane and Todd Dunivant on Wednesday in their loss to the Seattle Sounders. All three are likely to return. Starting goalkeeper Josh Saunders will be out as he has reportedly entered a substance abuse treatment program. Bill Gaudette will be in net for L.A.

Red Bulls head coach Hans Backe is determined not to play too defensively against the Galaxy. He has good reason to have his side go for goal. Los Angeles' defense has solidified in recent matches but has still not shutout any team in any competition in 2012.

Game Time: 8 p.m.

TV Coverage: ESPN/ESPN Deportes
