Injured New York Red Bulls striker Thierry Henry may not be back on the pitch on Wednesday against Chivas USA after all. Red Bulls coach Hans Backe said his star forward was unable to train on Monday because of rainy conditions (via MLS Soccer).
"Unfortunately with the weather, too much water on the pitch, we couldn't test Thierry," Backe told reporters after the training session. "We'll do that tomorrow, so I can't say yes or no."
Even if Henry, who has been battling a hamstring injury for nearly a month, is unavailable for Wednesday's match at Red Bull Arena, fans can anticipate seeing Rafa Marquez and Wilman Conde back in the lineup. In addition, New York could even have Jan Gunnar Solli back on the practice field by Tuesday.
