Teemu Tainio Injury Update: New York Red Bulls Midfielder To Miss Two More Months After Setback

The New York Red Bulls announced on Wednesday that their Finnish midfielder Teemu Tainio will be sidelined for a knee injury will miss another two months after suffering a setback in his recovery.

Tainio has only played in three matches and 180 total minutes this season for New York after starting all 28 matches he appeared in last season. Tainio had only recently come back to the training ground for drills. The team did not specify what the setback was for Tainio.

In addition to the Tainio news, Red Bulls head coach Hans Backe said that Jan Gunnar Solli will miss the next two matches with a thigh injury. Willman Conde and Thierry Henry are still ruled out for the Montreal match this Saturday but both could possibly return to the lineup against Chivas USA next Wednesday.
