Thierry Henry Wins MLS Player Of The Week Award For Performance In Red Bulls' Win Over Impact

Thierry Henry has won the MLS Player of the Week award for the second week running. There was no surprise this week when MLS announced that Henry had won the award. Henry not only played better than other players during the week, he outdid his performance from last week with his first career MLS hat trick.

Henry also had an assist in New York's 5-2 comeback win over the expansion Montreal Impact. Henry struck first in the match in the 28th minute with a headed goal between two defenders in the penalty area. He also scored in the 56th (a quick turn and fire goal near the top of the area) and 89th minutes (a tap in on a rebound). His wonderful flicked assist on Mehdi Ballouchy's goal was in the 72nd minute.
