Thierry Henry Wins MLS Player Of The Week Award For Performance In Red Bulls' Win Over Rapids

New York Red Bulls striker Thierry Henry was honored as MLS' Player of the Week on Monday by the league.

During Sunday's 4-1 win over the Colorado Rapids, Henry scored two goals and assisted on another goal. Henry stunned Colorado with a goal just three minutes into the match, assisted on Kenny Cooper's goal three minutes later and scored his second goal shortly after halftime to give the Red Bulls a 3-0 lead. The Red Bulls' captain now has two goals and two assists in three matches in 2012.

Henry led New York and was third in MLS in 2011 with 14 goals. Since he joined the Red Bulls in the latter half of 2010, Henry has scored 18 goals and dished out nine assists in 40 games.
