The one thing New York Red Bulls fans feared about a Thierry Henry loan to Arsenal has happened: the striker is injured (via Telegraph).

Henry picked up a calf injury during a training session with Arsenal. The injury could likely keep him out of this weekend's match against with Manchester United. Apparently, Henry was set to make a start in that match.

Arsène Wenger, who had plans to start Henry against United, is currently awaiting the results of Henry's scan before deciding on his strike options against the current champions.

In two matches for Arsenal, Henry scored one goal, the game-winner in the FA Cup against Leeds. His two-month loan ends before the start of the 2012 MLS season.

We'll have more information about Henry's injury when it becomes available.
