Rangers At Penguins Preview: Rangers Look to Continue Hot Play

The Rangers look to continue their hot streak and build on their league-best record against the Pittsburgh Penguins tonight.

The New York Rangers are the hottest team in hockey, winning three consecutive games and eight of their last nine. They have the most points in hockey with 54, owning a league-best 25-9-4 record. They look to continue their hot play tonight as their travel to Pittsburgh to face the Penguins.

Tonight is the second game of a back-to-back for the Rangers. They hosted the Florida Panthers last night, defeating them 3-2 in a shootout. So, not only are the Rangers playing a back-to-back, but they played a strenuous game involving overtime and a shootout the night before. Pair that with traveling from Florida to Pittsburgh – against a good Penguins team – and tonight may be a tough game for the Rangers.

The Penguins have lost two consecutive games and haven't played since December 31, when they lost 3-1 to the Devils.
