2012 Winter Classic Brawl: Philadelphia Cops Release Post-Game Fight Video

Following the 2012 Winter Classic, Jan. 2, a brawl between Philadelphia Flyers and New York Rangers fans took place resulting in a fan being seriously injured, and now the Philadelphia Police Department is taking their investigation to the internet by posting a YouTube video to try to identify those responsible.

According to the YouTube video description:

"On January 2, 2012, at 7:15pm, three unknown males wearing Philadelphia Flyers Jerseys assaulted two males while at Geno's Steaks located at 1200 South 9th Street. The assault began after the Winter Classic hockey event and the male victims were wearing New York Rangers jerseys. During the altercation one of the victims was seriously injured."

Unfortunately, this isn't an uncommon thing at sporting events, which usually involve a lot of booze and hot heads looking for someway to blow off some steam after a loss. Back in April, San Fransisco Giants fan, Bryan Stow, 42, was severely beaten after a baseball game at Dodger Stadium.

If you have any information about the incident, police are asking for you to call them at 215-686-3013
