New York Rangers Captain Chris Drury Had Knee Surgery Today, Will Miss Six Weeks

The New York Rangers announced today that captain Chris Drury underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee today. He will be out of action for six weeks.

Jesse Spector of the NY Daily News notes that tonight marks the 34th game he’s missed this season, matching the total of all the games he’s been out in his entire 11-year career.

Drury had just four assists in the 23 games he played this season.

The Rangers battle the Atlanta Thrashers tonight as they look to break a five-game losing skid.
