  • I have to admit you guys have me somewhat perplexed this morning. We are currently running a poll to find out what you guys believe are the top New York sports stories of 2010. Leading the way right now? Derek Jeter's contract squabble with the New York Yankees. Umm ... all I can say about that is 'WHAT?' Jeter's contract squabble the story of the year? Maybe you guys were just missing baseball while digging out from the blizzard on Monday. I can't believe that is the biggest story of the year around here. If you voted that way, please tell me what you were thinking. If you haven't voted, click the link and do it.

  • The New York Giants should finally get back from Wisconsin today. After the way the Giants have played the last two weeks I'm sure there are some fans who could care less if they ever come home.

  • What is Rex Ryan thinking? He said on Monday that sore-shouldered quarterback Mark Sanchez might play Sunday against the Buffalo Bills. For what purpose, Rex? So that you can glorify your ego by gunning for an 11th victory? Playing Sanchez on Sunday in a game the Jets don't need to win, and should be able to win without him anyway, is a foolish and unnecessary risk. Maybe someone will explain that to the Jets coach between now and kickoff.

  • The New York Rangers put the New York Islanders in their place Monday night with a crushing 7-2 victory.
