Newark, NJ (Sports Network) – Brandon Dubinsky scored twice and Henrik Lundqvist made 33 saves as the New York Rangers downed New Jersey, 3-0, at the Prudential Center.
Brian Boyle scored the other goal and Artem Anisimov added a pair of assists for the Rangers, who bounced back from a defeat in Philadelphia Thursday to win for a sixth time in their last nine games.
Lundqvist recorded his second shutout of the year and 26th of his career for the visitors, who have defeated the Devils in the first two of their six scheduled meetings this season.
Johan Hedberg stopped 17 shots in defeat for the Devils, who have scored only 12 goals while losing six of their last eight games.
New Jersey starting netminder Martin Brodeur, the NHL’s all-time wins leader, missed the game after suffering a bruised elbow in Wednesday’s victory over Chicago.
