Hurricans 4, Rangers 3: Cole's Late Goal Gives Carolina Win Over Rangers

New York, NY (Sports Network) - Erik Cole scored with 3:59 to play to lift the Carolina Hurricanes to a 4-3 win over the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden.

Jeff Skinner scored twice and added an assist while Tuomo Ruutu had a goal and two assists for the Hurricanes, who had dropped four of six coming into the contest. Cam Ward made 40 saves in the win.

Ryan Callahan had a goal and an assist while Brandon Dubinsky and Marc Staal each lit the lamp for the Rangers, who have dropped their past two games. Henrik Lundqvist was tagged with four goals on 38 shots in defeat.
