Islanders James Wisniewski Gets Suspended For 2 Games

The New York Islanders will be without another key player, losing James Wisniewski for two games due to a suspension. Wisniewski got the suspension for a hand-to-mouth gesture towards Sean Avery during the Islanders 6-4 win over the New York Rangers on Monday.

Wisniewski has a goal and two assists for the Islanders this year, and was acquired form the Anaheim Ducks this off-season. The Islanders — who have a solid defensive corps — will replace Wisniewski internally for his two game suspension.

In addition to the suspension Wisniewski will lose two games pay. For more on this situation make sure to go to Lighthouse Hockey.
