Mets Vs. Nationals Preview: Game Time, TV Schedule, Probable Pitchers

The New York Mets will try to avoid being swept by the Washington Nationals on Wednesday night when they go up against Stephen Strasburg's replacement. John Lannan (2-0, 3.46 ERA) will be starting for the Nationals in place of Strasburg, who was finally shut down for the season after his last start. The Mets will attempt to avoid the sweep and break their five-game losing streak with rookie Matt Harvey (3-4, 3.04) on the mound.

Harvey is supposedly on a 165-170 inning limit of his own and with 157 1/3 innings in the books, he is nearing that threshold. Harvey has yet to face the Nationals in his career.

The Mets have scored fewer than four runs in their last 12 games at Citi Field; over that stretch they have gone 2-10 at home.

Game Time: 7:10 p.m. EST

Radio: WFAN 660

TV: SNY
