The New York Mets will open a three-game weekend set against the Miami Marlins on Friday night. Coming off a series win against the Philadelphia Phillies, the Mets have won four of their last five and sit one game back of the Phillies for third place in the National League East.
The Marlins have lost five of their last seven and currently sit in the cellar of the East. Coming off a split against the Washington Nationals in a two-game set, the club has won two of their last three and will look to add to that total.
R.A. Dickey (16-4, 2.76 ERA) is the projected started for the Mets, while Nathan Eovaldi (4-9, 4.54 ERA) is expected to take the bump for the Marlins.
Game Time: 7:05 p.m., ET, Citi Field
