R.A. Dickey will go for win No. 15 when the New York Mets square off against the San Diego Padres on Friday at PETCO Park. New York has won four of its last five games and Dickey is coming off a win over the Arizona Diamondbacks after throwing seven scoreless innings while allowing only four hits and striking out eight. Dickey will be opposed by the Padres 28-year old lefty Clayton Richard.

The three-game series vs. the lowly Padres offers New York a nice opportunity to get back to .500. San Diego, at 44-63 on the season, owns the third lowest winning percentage in baseball. The Mets come into the series at 53-54, trailing the Washington Nationals by 11 games in the N.L. East.

The 37-year old Dickey enters at 14-2 with a 2.83 ERA and 1.03 WHIP. Richard is 7-11 with a 4.14 ERA and 1.12 WHIP.

Game time: 10:05 ET

TV: SNY
