New York Mets outfielder Jason Bay will miss Thursday's game against the Washington Nationals due to a bout with the flu, the team announced Thursday. He will be replaced in the lineup by Scott Hairston, who will play left field and bat sixth.
The Mets are looking to snap a three-game losing streak in the final leg of their three-game set with the Nationals. New York will turn to R.A. Dickey, who has surrendered just one run over his last three outings, in hopes of stopping the slide.
