2012 MLB Draft, New York Mets: Two More Picks Coming In First 75

The New York Mets are positioned well for today’s second phase of the 2012 MLB Draft. The Mets have two selections in today’s second round, the 71st and 75th overall selections. That gives them four picks among the first 75.

In Round 3 today the Mets have the 107th overall selection.

Today’s second day of the draft will commence at noon and will include rounds 2-15. The picks will be streamed live on MLB.com.

St. John’s pitcher Kyle Hansen, ranked No. 97 on the MLB.com prospect list, is among the players expected to be selected early on Day 2 of the draft.

Monday the Mets selected high school shortstop Gavin Cecchini with the 12th overall pick and catcher Kevin Plawecki with the 35th overall selection.
