The day has finally arrived for all the baseball fans across the country and here in New York.
The 2012 MLB Draft will get underway tonight from Secaucus, N.J. The first round should be very exciting, with the Houston Astros kicking off the affairs with the first overall pick.
The New York Mets will be the first of the local teams to draft, picking 12th overall on the evening. The Mets are having a surprisingly good season and should add to the farm system with a stud.
The New York Yankees are selecting 30th. If the Bronx Bombers can grab a nice impact player for down the road, they'll be thrilled to continue a long line of excellence.
