Lucas Duda Status: Mets Outfielder Out Vs. Orioles With Tight Hamstring

New York Mets outfielder Lucas Duda will sit with a tight hamstring on Wednesday night against the Baltimore Orioles at Citi Field (via ESPN New York).

With the current hot temperatures in the New York area, Mets manager Terry Collins said he would wait to start Duda until the New York Yankees series during the weekend. Collins said about Duda's hamstring in the heat, "That scares me, always -- especially when you're that big and strong." Collins will insert Vinny Rottino into the lineup in place of Duda.

Duda is hitting .268 with 11 home runs and 42 RBI this season for New York. Duda leads the team in home runs and RBI. Rottino has only appeared in 16 games and is hitting .200 with two homers, four walks and five RBI.
