Mets (35-31) Vs. Reds (37-27) Preview: Game Time, TV Schedule, Probable Pitchers

The New York Mets have hit something of a wall in their weekend series with the Cincinnati Reds. After sweeping the Tampa Bay Rays during the week, the Mets lost the last two games of the series with the visiting Cincinnati Reds. Terry Collins and his team will try to halt the skid on Sunday afternoon.

Chris Young (1-0, 3.38 ERA) is on the mound for the Mets, in just his third start of the season. The veteran right-hander won is last outing over the Rays and had a no-decision in his first start. Young has allowed just four earned runs in those two starts, striking out six and walking three. Young has made just eight starts since 2010, but is 4-0 in those starts and his teams are 8-2.

Over New York's last 25 games, dating back to May 22, Mets starters are 13-6 with a 2.64 ERA.

The Reds counter with Johnny Cueto (7-3, 2.46 ERA) who won his last two starts, including a complete game against Cleveland. In five career starts against the Mets, Cueto is 0-3 with a 6.58 ERA.

The game starts at 1:10 p.m. Fans can watch it on WPIX.
