The New York Mets will be looking to sweep the Philadelphia Phillies on Wednesday night at Citizens Bank Park.
New York came back on Tuesday from a 4-1 deficit with six unanswered runs after winning the first game with a three-run homer by Jordany Valdespin in the ninth inning.
Philadelphia will turn to Cliff Lee to break the losing streak. Lee has been sensational with a 1.96 ERA this season. Amazingly his record is 0-1. In his last start, Lee pitched 10 scoreless innings, and didn't get a decision.
The Mets send Dillon Gee to the mound, who has thrown the ball inconsistently all year. Gee is 2-2 with a 4.50 ERA and is coming off of a no-decision in which he gave up just two runs in six innings to Arizona.
Even though the season is still in it's very early stages, New York could use a win like this to further bury a Phillies team that's reeling at the moment.
