Mets (16-13) At Phillies (14-16): Veteran Miguel Batista Opposes Philly's Joe Blanton In Game 2

A night after having an unlikely-rookie hero help earn a thrilling victory against a division rival, the New York Mets will turn Tuesday to a well-seasoned veteran, pitcher Miguel Batista, to try and win Game 2 over the host Philadelphia Phillies (7:05 p.m. ET on SNY).

The Mets will be looking for their third straight victory and cement another win in the three-game set at Citizen Bank Part, which on Monday featured rookie shortstop Jordany Valdespin hitting a three-run home run off of Phillies closer Johnathan Papelpon in the ninth inning of a 5-2 victory.

On Tuesday, Batista (0-1, 6.92 ERA) will take the mound for minor-league prospect Chris Schwinden, who pitched poorly in his start in the rotation. Batista will oppose Philly's Joe Blanton (3-3, 2.83 ERA) who pitched a nine scoreless innings last Tuesday against the Atlanta Braves.

Location: Citizen Bank Park, Philadelphia, Pa.

Game Time: 7:05 p.m. ET

TV Channel: SNY

Series: Mets have a 1-0 lead in the three-game series.
