Mets Vs. Diamondbacks Final Score: Daniel Murphy, Johan Santana Carry Mets To Saturday Win

Behind a four-hit effort from Daniel Murphy and seven strong innings from starter Johan Santana, the New York Mets defeated the Arizona Diamondbacks on Saturday afternoon at Citi Field.

Santana continued his strong start to 2012 (2.61 ERA), and was finally rewarded with his first victory of the season. Murphy's four singles accounted for nearly half of the team's nine hits, and he upped his season average to .315. He now has six hits in his last nine at bats.

With the win, the Mets improved to 14-13 overall and 9-6 at home. R.A. Dickey will square off with Trevor Cahill in the rubber match of the series on Sunday afternoon, and a win would give the Mets their fifth series win this season.
