Wednesday's game is the rubber-match beween the Philadelphia Phillies and New York Mets. With the left-hander Cliff Lee starting for the Phillies the Mets are sitting first baseman Ike Davis. Sitting Davis against left-handed pitchers has been the norm all year. In the lineup for Davis will be Vinny Rottino who will be batting fifth.
Omar Quintanilla is back in the starting lineup at shortstop and is batting eighth after his three-hit performance on Tuesday in his debut for the Mets.
