The New York Mets announced two roster moves Friday prior to the second game of their four-game series with the San Diego Padres.

Carson, 23, has pitched three innings over two relief appearances for the Mets this season, compiling a 6.00 ERA for the big club.
Egbert, 29, has had very little major league experience, pitching just two games for the Chicago White Sox in 2009. The right-hander was unsuccessful in that first major league stint, surrendering eight runs in just 2 2/3 innings. But he has fared much better with Triple-A Buffalo this season, accumulating a 2.08 ERA with 17 strikeouts over 26 innings.
