Mets Offer Free Tickets To Fans Who Sat Through Rain Delay

The New York Mets are offering free tickets to Friday's Game 2 against the San Diego Padres to fans holding tickets from Thursday's rain-delayed outing at Citi Field. Fans waited 68 minutes between the end of the second inning and the top of the third before play resumed. The Mets announced the giveaway via Twitter.

Full details are available on the Mets' official site. The offer is good even on tickets marked "NO RAIN CHECK." There is also a Mets cap giveaway for the first 25,000 fans. The game is scheduled to start at 7:10 p.m. ET, assuming the weather is cooperative by then.
