The New York Mets and Milwaukee Brewers will conclude their small two-game series Tuesday, when Dillion Gee will oppose Zack Greinke at 7:05 p.m. ET (SNY) at Miller Park. On Monday, the Mets were able to win Game 1 by a final score of 3-1. The victory was New York's seventh in nine games.
Gee (2-2, 4.78 ERA) will be expected to last longer than his previous outing, which went just 5 2/3 innings in a victory over the Phillies last Wednesday. Recently, the Mets bullpen has been working hard and has been a bit inconsistent, so if Gee can give them a day of rest it would be helpful.
On Monday, New York closer Frank Francisco was able to cement a close-win after placing three of the first four batters he face on base. The effort put the Mets in position to collect its fourth home stand victory of the season, which would surpass last year's total.
